And, just in time to cheers National Piña Colada Day on Thursday, July 10, Caribe Hilton is sharing their original recipe from 1954 and rolling out a special menu at the Oasis Bar, where it all began, with several new twists on the original Piña Colada.

In the spirit of the celebrations, Caribe Hilton is also planning an array of other activities for guests to enjoy throughout the year, including mixology classes at Oasis Bar, sweepstakes, and a Piña Colada Festival on Aug. 16, which will kick off the year-long festivities.

Caribe Hilton’s famed original Piña Colada recipe is a great way to get a taste of Puerto Rico this summer! The Piña Colada was originally created at Caribe Hilton in 1954 by bartender Ramón “Monchito” Marrero, which he continued to serve at the hotel for 35 years until his retirement in 1989. Ramón left quite the legacy, as the Piña Colada is now the official drink of Puerto Rico!
