Indaba Range Tagged as Contenders for “Wine of the Year”

By Chilled Magazine

Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate just released the latest reviews on South African wines and the Indaba range from importer Cape Classics was singled out by reviewer Neal Martin as “…contenders for ‘wine of the year.’”

INDABA-RANGE-bottleMartin further noted that Indaba production is overseen by winemaker Bruwer Raats who “may well be the most exciting and forward-thinking winemaker in Stellenbosch at the moment. No… make that IS the most exciting forward-thinking winemaker.”

According to Robert Bradshaw, President of Cape Classics,

“Indaba was developed as an entry-level wine range that consistently over delivers on quality. Our goal was to show the world that phenomenal wine can be made at this price point, The Wine Advocate’s consistent praise for the brand validates that we are meeting that goal.”

The Indaba range has five offerings with Indaba Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Merlot and Mosaic, a red blend completing the line-up. The Indaba Chardonnay led the pack with a score of 87. Indaba retails for approximately $9.99 is distributed nationally, and can be found in Cost Plus, World Market, Total Wines and More, Kroger, Whole Foods Market, and Wegmans stores, as well as listed at Seasons 52, Capital Grille and Eddie V’s restaurants.
