INGREDIENTS:

1/2 oz. VEEV

1 1/2 oz. Hochstadter’s Slow & Low Rock and Rye

1/2 oz. Lemon Juice

3/4 oz. Thyme Infused Maple Syrup

PREPARATION:

Thyme infused maple syrup – Infuse 16 oz. of maple syrup with 7 thyme sprigs for 5 days then strain through a fine mesh strainer. Add all ingredients in a rocks glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

GARNISH:

Twist of lemon

GLASSWARE:

Rocks glass

INSPIRATION:

I love whiskey but I always used to drink it straight before I started tending bar. I started playing around with different things to drink with whiskey and different types and this was one of my favorites. I call it Late Night Fix because it puts you in the right place after a long night of work.
