Recipe by Carol Donovan

1 1/2 oz. VEEV

1/2 oz. Dolin Blanc

2 oz. Cucumber-Strawberry Puree

Cucumber-Strawberry Puree:

4-5 Strawberries

1/3 Cucumber (Peeled)

(If needed: 0.25 oz 1:1 simple syrup – depends upon ripeness of berries)

Shake all ingredients. Strain into prepared collins glass over fresh ice. Hang strawberry on rim to complete the garnish.

Prepare collins glass:

Slice cucumber lengthwise (with peel on). Twirl into tall collins glass and push against sides with the back of a spoon.

Cucumber-strawberry puree:

In blender, blend berries and cucumber well. Taste, and if needed add the small amount of simple syrup.

Long cucumber slice inside glass, strawberry on the rim.

Tall Collins Glass

This cocktail has evolved from my original thoughts, but I am pleased where it has landed and those guests who have tried it love it for it’s freshness and simplicity.

Originally a way to mimic the fresh flavors often presented in a Pimms Cup, I love how it celebrates what VEEV stands for as well as being such a simple and fresh drink for any time in the Spring or Summer. The ingredients are typically available everywhere and the preparation is incredibly simple for anyone to do.

Drinking this is like having a great fresh smoothie, and every ingredient gets the chance to shine through while complementing the others. Why not Re-VEEV Your Day with something fresh, simple, and good for you?
