INGREDIENTS:

2 oz. VEEV

1/2 oz. Agave Nectar

2 Lemon Wedges

8-10 Fresh Blueberries (depending on size)

3-5 Fresh Pineapple Cubes (depending on size)

3-5 Mint Leaves (depending on size)

1 oz. Soda Water

PREPARATION:

In tin, muddle lemon, fresh blueberries,and fresh pineapple with Agave nectar. Add ice, VEEV and mint. Mint should be torn in small pieces. Shake to infuse all flavors. Strain over fresh ice. Top with soda water.

GARNISH:

Three fresh blueberries, lemon wedge, mint sprig

Collins glass

INSPIRATION:

This cocktail was inspired by “a better way to drink.” Agave nectar was chosen for its natural sweetening properties. The acai infusion in VEEV inspired a blueberry centered cocktail. Blueberries are loaded with antioxidants and are rich in manganese to help keep you energized. I grew up with a blueberry bush right outside my bedroom window, so they also remind me of home. Mint and pineapple were also chosen for their health benefits and alleged cleansing properties. Mint is a soothing herb, high in antioxidants and used for thousands of years to aid in digestion, while pineapples are said to assist in reduction of inflammation and even kidney stones! This is a light, fresh, and fruity drink that goes down easy and doesn’t fill you up, making it a perfect drink for a hot summer day by the pool, or relaxing with on the patio after a long, hard day.
