1 1/2 oz. Cardamom-infused VEEV Vodka
1/2 oz. Strega Liqeuer
3/4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 oz. Housemade grapefruit cordial
Splash of Sparkling
Infuse 1 cup of cardamom pods into 750 ml vodka for 45 minutes. Strain. For the grapefruit cordial, peel one whole grapefruit and muddle the peels into 1 cup of white sugar to release oils. Add 8-10 oz. of boiling water and stir to dissolve sugar. Let steep for 15 minutes and cool.
My last name being Codamon, Microsoft Word incessantly autocorrected it to “Cardamom” at the top of every term paper I have ever written. For my college essay, I forgot to proofread and submitted it as was. Everyone teased that it was the only reason I got into culinary school.
