INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 oz. VEEV

1 oz. Lime Juice

1/2 oz. Simple Syrup

3 Lime Wedges

1 oz. Strawberry Mint Shrub

PREPARATION:

In a mixing glass, muddle lime wedges and simple syrup. VEEV, lime juice, and ice. Shake well. Strain into a rocks glass, over fresh crushed ice. Top with strawberry shrub.

GARNISH:

Lime Wedge and Mint Bouquet

GLASSWARE:

Rocks Glass

INSPIRATION:

This recipe was conceived as the beginning of my summer cocktail program, inspired by using fresh citrus and fruit to produce a refreshing, enjoyable drinking experience. After tooling around with different variations on the Mai Tai and the Capirinha, I came to the above recipe with adding a house-made strawberry shrub, to bring those flavors back home to Florida.
