VEEV’S CUP

INGREDIENTS:

2 oz VEEV

1 Lime Wedge

1 Lemon Wedge

1 Orange Wedge

8 Mint Leaves

1/2 oz. Cherry Shrub*

Top with Soda

PREPARATION:

Muddle all ingredients (except for soda) in a small tin, strain into a highball glass, top with soda water.

*Cherry Shrub

1 Cup Cherries

1/2 Cup Champagne Vinegar

1/2 Cup Raspberry Vinegar

1 Cup Demerara Sugar

Quickly blend Cherries and Vinegar together (to produce coarse pieces of cherry), then lightly heat all ingredients to incorporate sugar, let it rest in for 24-48 hours, strain and bottle.

GARNISH:

Mint Spring, Orange Wedge

GLASSWARE:

Highball

INSPIRATION:

I wanted to create a cocktail that embodies summer, and something I could imagine myself sipping by the pool. A pimm’s cup came to mind, and I thought, why not create the VEEV’s Cup, a light, refreshing, fresh cocktail that highlights the spirit.
